In a landscape shaped by immediacy and digital reproduction, serigraphy preserves an essential condition: work made by hand. Images are not merely reproduced, they are built. Each layer of ink is a decision, each registration a controlled risk, each print a subtle variation carrying its own trace.

La lógica de los primeros trabajos en stencil reaparece aquí. La imagen vuelve a levantarse por capas, trasladando ese lenguaje al bastidor y la tinta, habitando un espacio intermedio entre lo urbano y el taller, entre dos mundos que coexisten en una misma pieza.

El regalo que sostiene el personaje incorpora un chip NFC integrado, escaneable con cualquier teléfono celular. Este permite acceder o custodiar contenido digital asociado a la pieza, extendiendo la obra hacia un plano tecnológico sin perder su raíz análoga.

Mixed-media screen print addressing the tension between security and exhaustion, between the stability provided by roles, uniforms, and presence, and the resignation of the person who inhabits them. The character embodies this contradiction: I am because this is what I was given, I am here because I don’t know where else to be.

The work is produced using a single screen-printed layer, with acrylic applied to the background and jacket. The classic Casio watch, the radio, and the eyes feature glow-in-the-dark paint, revealing a secondary reading when light fades. Reflective details on the jacket and a gold ring reinforce ideas of function, permanence, and belonging.

The piece exists between what is visible and what remains latent, between the role that offers protection and the body that sustains it.

Serigrafía en técnica mixta que aborda la tensión entre seguridad y desgaste, entre la estabilidad que ofrecen los roles, los uniformes y la presencia, y la resignación de quien los habita. El personaje encarna esa contradicción: soy porque es lo que me tocó, estoy porque no sé dónde más estar.

La obra está realizada en una capa serigráfica, con intervenciones en acrílico en el fondo y la chaqueta. El reloj Casio clásico, la radio y los ojos incorporan pintura que brilla en la oscuridad, revelando una segunda lectura cuando la luz desaparece. Aplicaciones reflectantes en la chaqueta y un anillo de oro refuerzan la idea de función, permanencia y pertenencia.

La pieza se sitúa entre lo visible y lo latente, entre el rol que protege y el cuerpo que lo sostiene.
